Keepsakes & Candles

Craftsbury Candleworks

Craftsbury Candleworks makes pure beeswax candles “of tradition and distinction.”  We began making candle molds and beeswax candles about 15 years ago to help preserve the European chandler tradition. The unprocessed wax comes from Vermont beekeepers. We clean the wax and then hand pour each candle… a labor of love.

Garrison Creative Glassworks

John and Linda are know for their blown glass hot air balloon ornaments as a whole but also make seasonal ornaments, wedding cake toppers and custom items by order.  All our glass is hand blown by John and hand painted by Linda. We do this for a living and have done so for over 25 years. Many friends, and family members have helped us along the way. We obtained a copyright in 1993 for our balloons and create a new pattern every year. All our balloons are signed and dated, fade resistant, and colorful.

How can we capture the essence and beauty of New England in a respectful and responsible way? How can we bring that experience into our homes and share it with folks from afar? The answer came to us while cleaning up some family land after a storm in early 2009. Scattered across the forest were trees of every variety. Fallen, splintered, and left for decay, this perfectly good and healthy wood would simply be burned. We had a better idea: Why not transform it into something we could hold onto?  We developed out first holiday ornament and from there kept working. We saw the perfect opportunity to preserve something out of possible waste.

Whimsical Metal Frogs

Artist Arthur Ward is known through-out New England as "The Frogman" and along with his "Tadpole" Wade Ward they have created large metal wall sculptures and a series of Whimsical Metal Frogs that are collected around the world.  Each Metal Frog is constructed from nuts, washers, brass and copper. The Frog is then hand painted to complete the individual and unique look. These figurines have hopped their way into the hearts of thousands.
